Exciting News!! COVID-19 Restrictions to be eased this Friday 15 of May!! – Portugues

The Government has announced this week that COVID-19 restrictions will be eased for NSW reaching the so-called stage 1. Australia has done an amazing job in tackling the spread of the pandemic and we can say that here we are safer than in any other place in the world currently.

This is a teamwork and we all should feel proud of ourselves because as we can see there is light at the end of the tunnel!!

From this Friday 15 May, the following will be allowed in NSW, in addition to measures already announced in past weeks:

• Outdoor gatherings allowed of up to 10 people
• Cafes and restaurants will be able to seat 10 patrons at any one time
• Up to 5 visitors to a household at any one time
• Weddings up to 10 guests
• Indoor funerals up to 20 mourners, outdoor funerals up to 30
• Religious gatherings/places of worship up to 10 worshippers
• Use of outdoor equipment with caution
• Outdoor pools open with restrictions

Even though this is great news, let’s not take this situation for granted and maintain social distancing rules at all times. Let’s keep up the good work!!

The NSW Government will consider steps two and three of the plan in due course.
