Dry season and wet season

Darwin has a tropical climate with two well-distinguished seasons, dry season and wet season. The dry season goes from May to October with a range of temperatures between 21 – 31 degrees. The wet season has temperatures that range between 25 – 32 degrees and the humidity can go as high as 80%. This part of the year registers most of the region’s yearly rainfall with often Sunny mornings and heavy storms during afternoon/evening.

Public transport

Although Darwin is a small city, there are plenty of buses to get around the city and surrounding suburbs. You can purchase a Tap & Ride Card (https://nt.gov.au/driving/public-transport-cycling/public-buses/fares/tap-and-ride-card) to make it simple or you can also purchase single trip tickets through any News Agency or even at the bust when you board.

You can also move around by bike as it is a very bike-friendly city. Distances are not a real problem as Darwin is a small city and you can get to majority of places is about 30 min.
